Group Meeting!

 Today in our media class we had group discussions with different groups! I was in group #4 with the six of us and we all talked about our portfolio projects. We each took turns going through our blogs, giving a rundown of our film concept, what we have already done, what we plan to do, and everything in between. I went first and talked about Clara and I's film opening, it got pretty good reactions which is always reassuring. (especially when you're unsure of what the reactions would be). I also talked about location, costuming, casting, and mise-en-scene. Everyone in my group seemed to like my idea and reassure me that I do in fact have my shit together. I talked about the struggle I am currently facing in this project which is obtaining the rights to the songs I want however, no one seems to have an answer. Everyone else seems to be having the same problem which means I still have not found a solution. Ryan recommended a website to me that could possibly help me come in contact with someone about music! Click here for the link! We'll see how far I can get with this because as of now, I've had no luck. 

Another problem that I could have possibly faced was not having the equipment (not really needed, but wanted) for our portfolio project. I really wanted to use a better quality camera rather than my phone just because I want to become more familiar with working with camera's and also because I feel that the outcome would be nicer overall. Once again Ryan came to the rescue and told our group about how he rented equipment from Beacon TV, which is our local schools county TV station. Click here to go to their Shortcuts website!
