Hello Blog!
Hope all is well! This post might be shorter than usual as there is not much to say at the moment. For the time being, things have briefly slowed down right before everything is about to very quickly pick up. The calm before the storm if you will. But instead of a storm, it will be a beautiful masterpiece. I am making this post just because I would like to address the next steps within our plan of what Clara and I will be doing during this upcoming week.
During week 4, we will begin physically storyboarding. Although we already have our ideas of what we want to accomplish within our film opening, we will be able to draw it out, making it more of a reality. In addition to storyboarding, we will also make our shot list, which I also have a pretty detailed idea of what I would want to do with that as well and we will continue to document our process. As for music, we will begin working on the legitimacy of obtaining the rights to the song we want along with searching for what we should use for our second intended song. We will also keep in mind the Youtube Audio Library which provides royalty free music for use, super helpful for a project such as this. I will let you guys know if we have any good finds. Last but not least we will begin our script/screenplay. This is something that I love doing and am totally looking forward to it. Here's a little fun fact about me that you don't know... I am currently in the process of writing my own television show with one of my best friends Mia Batista, who is also an AICE Media student. Given that that technically was the first script I've written, I don't have much experience but I do have a general idea regarding the proper fonts and layouts that a screenplay should have. Upon researching, Clara and I stumbled upon this screenwriting software that we think will be helpful when we get started when we start our script. The website is called arcstudiopro.com and I cannot wait to share everything that it will help us with. In the meantime, Clara and I have been watching some more videos on scriptwriting and the actual techniques surrounding the process because although I am familiar with writing scripts, I remain unsure regarding how "correct" they may be.
Here are some of the videos that we watched and found very beneficial to expanding our knowledge:
